Coaching or counselling? Which do I want now?

Coaching helps you journey from where you are now to where you would like to be. It helps you look at areas of your life which are out of balance – either too busy or neglected – and adjust these. It also helps you focus on your chosen destination for this stage of your journey. You travel more easily and quickly if you know where you want to go. A coach acts as guide and companion on the way, drawing your attention to things that may help.
Counselling looks at where you are now, and where you have come from. A counsellor helps you recognize things such as repeating patterns in relationships, and how past events may continue to influence you. We can’t change past events, but we can change the way we view them. This gives us more choice about our future.
